Employees of R&R Realty Group raised $21,517.50 for Dorothy’s House during an annual fundraising campaign. Dorothy’s House is a Des Moines nonprofit organization providing a safe place for girls whose lives have been interrupted by the sex trafficking industry to physically, mentally and emotionally heal.
“When called to support this worthwhile organization, R&R employees once again rose to the occasion,” said Mark Rupprecht, President of R&R Realty Group. “Our hope is that this donation will help provide a brighter future for the girls and young women at Dorothy’s House.”
2018 marks the third consecutive year R&R employees have voted to support Dorothy’s House with their annual fundraising campaign.
“R&R has been a great supporter of our mission,” said Dorothy’s House Founder, Kellie Markey. “Their financial contributions over the past three years have allowed us to deliver programming that helps girls and young women heal within a community of survivors.”
In addition to contributing their money, some R&R employees have also contributed their time to Dorothy’s House. Wendy Ogden, Associate General Counsel for R&R Realty Group is also a member of the Dorothy’s House board of directors.
“The most important thing we can do for these young women is give them the tools they need to live healthy, independent lives,” said Ogden. “The financial support R&R has been able to provide Dorothy’s House makes me incredibly proud to be involved with both organizations.”
