R&R Realty Group Partners with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to Build Beds for Local Children
6/30/2026 — More than 50 R&R Realty Group employees spent part of June 24th volunteering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, building 40 beds for children in our community who do not have a bed of their own. Hosted in the R&R Realty Group’s Westfield parking lot, the mobile bed build brought together employees from across the company to support Sleep in Heavenly Peace's mission: No kid sleeps on the floor in our town.
Bringing the Build to Westfield
Hosting the event required significant planning. Sleep in Heavenly Peace had not held a mobile build in more than six years, and moving its equipment off-site was no small task. With just two weeks to prepare, both Sleep in Heavenly Peace and R&R’s Volunteer Committee worked together to coordinate materials, equipment, volunteers, and event logistics. The preparation paid off. Throughout four volunteer shifts, employees built:
40 complete beds
75 bed slat bundles
Components for 20 additional beds
Each completed bed will be delivered to a local child in need.
A Meaningful Day of Service
For many employees, the build was their first experience with Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Some had never used power tools before, while others shared personal stories about why the mission resonated with them. Moments like these were a reminder that even a few hours of volunteering can make a lasting difference for families in our community.
