R&R Realty Group Plays a Pivotal Role with Iowa Homes for Heroes on First Donated Home for Veteran

11/5/2025 -- R&R Realty Group proudly established Iowa Homes for Heroes, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality homes for Iowa’s disabled veterans and first responders. 

On November 3, 2025, R&R Realty Group, together with partners Jerry’s Homes, the State of Iowa, and the Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs,  celebrated the completion of the first home donated through the Iowa Homes for Heroes program at a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Urbandale, marking a major milestone for the initiative. 

Dan Rupprecht, founder of R&R Realty Group, emphasized the urgent need for veteran housing in Iowa. Inspired by national organizations like Tunnels for Towers, he sought to create a locally focused initiative, leading to the establishment of Iowa Homes for Heroes. 

The home, located in the Oakwood Haven community in Urbandale, Iowa, on a lot generously donated by R&R Realty Group, will be the new residence for Veteran Clint Graham and his family. Designed with comfort in mind, the home promotes independence and meets the unique needs of Clint and his family.  

Tom Rupprecht, Executive Vice President at R&R Realty Group, stated, “This project shows what can be accomplished when local businesses and organizations work together to support those who serve.” 

Iowa Homes for Heroes plans to expand, partnering with builders, community groups, and state agencies to provide additional homes for veterans and first responders in need.
